what is wireless sensor network?
Answer is a network of sensors in a plain words. But then question arises what is sensor? Sensor is some form of hardware which can sense or feel something, that may be any irregularities or may be a set of natural facts. According to wiktionary
"A device or organ that detects certain external stimuli and responds in a distinctive manner"
But how the sensors crate network ? Sensors create the network via wireless link among themselves. Wireless specially wireless communication is a vast term to discuss though simply it means "communication without wire medium". We will focus on it later on. For wireless sensor network the communications infrastructure is the key factor. It also varies form its application area. Some of the common areas are:
* Industrial automation
* Automated and smart homes
* Video surveillance
* Traffic monitoring
* Medical device monitoring
* Monitoring of weather conditions
* Air traffic control
* Robot control.
Today WSN is a interesting research topic among interested ones. My objective is to share my thoughts on wsn which i am gathering by doing my undergraduate thesis now with other for a better perspective, that's why my blog is named as wsn-now.This blog acknowledge numerous resources and researches for their works. I just presented here a collective of their efforts with adding my thoughts. So the way of representing different topics,data.report,image, numerical result is mine but the original works are from different sources,different researchers contribution.I hope there is nothing to be confused about the content here.
